Tip-A-Cop Was a Great Success!

Thank you to Chompie’s customers in Tempe, Glendale, and Chandler. They generously supported local law enforcement's Tip-A-Cop fundraiser on Saturday, August 17, 2019. This program is part of The Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) for the Special Olympics. Officers helped bus tables, refill drinks, and accepted donations. Special Olympic athletes were also there participating and having fun with guests, and the employees. The donations were collected from 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chompie's customers consistently show how much they care about friends and neighbors in our communities throughout Phoenix. Thank you for partnering with us so that we, too, can make a difference and give back to the community we love.

What is LETR?

LETR is changing the future for people with intellectual disabilities and lighting the way for acceptance and inclusion. You can donate, volunteer, or otherwise participate in Special Olympics programs or show your support by attending LETR events.

"The Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) is the largest public awareness vehicle and grassroots fundraiser for Special Olympics. Known honorably as Guardians of the Flame, law enforcement members and Special Olympics athletes carry the “Flame of Hope” into the Opening Ceremony of local competitions, and into Special Olympics State, Provincial, National, Regional and World Games. Annually, more than 97,000 dedicated and compassionate law enforcement members carry the “Flame of Hope,” symbolizing courage and celebration of diversity uniting communities around the globe."
